Dietetics is the scientific study of food intake and preparation with the practical application of diet in relation to health and diseases with meeting the needs of individuals in wellness, illness and physical performance. Dietetics department provides a support service in the form of basic and specialized nutrition intervention to patients.
The dietetics department is taking care of nutritional need of patient and Plans, develops, controls, and evaluates food service systems, Establishes and maintains standards of food production and service, sanitation, safety and security, consults with health care team concerning the nutritional care of patients and prescribe diets accordingly.
